Do I need to modify my application program for the touchscreen?
No, you needn’t. If your application program is based on windows 95/98/me,you only need to
install
driving program.If your application program is based on dos/windows3.1,you only need to
copy the
driving program and make some slight changes in autoexec.bat .
The advantages of the surface acoustic wave touchscreens compared with the other types of
touchscreens?
Very good light transmission, it can reach 92%(the maximum) without any distortion,while the
other
types of touchscreens can reach 85 % at most.
Less prone to scratching and smashing.

How often does the touchscreen need cleaning?
It all depends on the application of the touchscreen.If the touchscreen is installed inside the
display
and the outer cover of the display and the touchscreen are well sealed up, generally
speaking , it
won't need cleaning untill more than a year of use.
Does the dust on the screen influence the touch?
The dust on the active display area of the touchscreen does not influence the touch,but if the
reflection streaks on the four sides of the touchscreen are covered with a lot of dust, the touchscreen
will gradually lose its touch effect.So to wash the touchscreen just clean the
reflection streaks on the four
sides of the touchscreen.
How to clean the touchscreen?
Spray some glass detergent onto a towel, and then use the towel to wipe the surface of the glass.
Under normal circumstances,you can directly use a dry towel to wipe the dust on the glass
surface.
If it is the touch display, you can use a namecard or hardpaper to wipe the dust simply through the
gap between the front cover of the display and the touchscreen.
The state of the indicator light of the controller board?
Under normal conditions,after 2 seconds after the unit is started ,the indicator light flashes on for
3
seconds and then goes out, after the start is finished, the indicator light will light on when touch
is
carried on,and the indicator light will go out without touch.
If the other state occurs, please check the the connection of the hardware.
How long should the connector line(from the touchscreen to PC) be?
The length of the connector line is unlimited in theory,so the distance from the touchscreen to the
PC
is decided by the lenghth of the display signal cable.
The connector line and the signal cable need customizing or be made by the customers
themselves.
The difference between Model No.2036 controller board, type B and type O?
Type B is applicable for touchscreens below 17 inches (including 17 inch)in size.
Type O is applicable for touchscreens over 17inches in size.
If wrongly used, a touch-drift may be caused.
Does the surface sonic wave interfere with the other electronic components?
No, it doesn’t. because there is only a 5MHZ ultrasonic wave on the shallow surface of the screen.
Does the controller board influence the display when the controller board is installed in the
display?
No, it doesn’t.
