Back to the Future

While trying to confine the virus outbreak for the past month, we had to work from home and our factory came to a standstill. We started the new year with great hopes but little did we expect we had to delay our future endeavors. Our customers were sensitive to our plight but we were already plotting a comeback plan. Finally, the authorities gave the green light to resume work. All our staff welcomed the news and streamed back to General Touch, back to our factory to work on our future.

Now we can put our comeback plans into action. We can inform our loyal and patient customers whom we have a shared future that we are poised to work on their recent orders. The journey ahead remains challenging. The outbreak of COVID-19 seems to be under containment in our province. The day before yesterday, there was no new COVID-19 cases in Sichuan Province but yesterday, there was one.

Moving forward, we cannot throw caution to the wind even if we are trying to ramp up production. Daily temperature check for each staff is mandatory before they head to their work stations while masks have to be put on whenever possible. Work areas and hand sanitation has to be executed periodically. Our production line for PCAP sensors is already fully scheduled until April, 2020. To achieve full production of touch monitors we are awaiting all our suppliers to resume work and sourcing for alternative supplies when necessary.

Even though Wuhan is still under lockdown, the official approval for resuming work is a watershed event pointing to our initial victory in the current battle with the coronavirus. People are bored stiff from staying home and resuming work is great news for all of our staff and customers too. Once again, we would like to express deep appreciation to all our caring and concerned customers while we get on with what we do best – producing quality and cost-effective touch solutions for the global market.
